Your first music festival
Plan a day at a music festival with a packing checklist and a schedule you can actually follow.

Build your day around three sets
Pick one must-see act and two flexible choices. Mark the stages on the map and leave time for walking, queues and food. If two sets overlap, choose where you want to spend the longer stretch and check the distance before trying to catch both.
Day-pack checklist
- Admission: ticket, accepted ID and a backup way to access the ticket if mobile data is slow.
- Comfort: shoes you can walk in, earplugs and a layer suited to the venue and weather.
- Site rules: approved bag, water container and any permitted charger or sunscreen.
- Getting home: last shuttle or train, pickup location and a meeting spot inside the grounds.
Before you hit the gate
Check whether a pass is valid for one day or the whole weekend, and whether it includes camping or transport. Look up re-entry if you plan to leave the grounds. Save the official map, and check for set-time changes before you leave. For any weather delay, follow the organizer’s updates.
