How to announce an event schedule change
Use a message template to tell ticket holders what changed, what to do and where to get updates.

Update the listing and booking page first
State whether the event is postponed, rescheduled or cancelled. If there is a confirmed new time, include the local date, venue and doors time. If details are pending, give the date of the next update. Confirm how existing tickets and refund requests are handled with your ticket provider before making promises.

Subject · Schedule update for [event name]
“The event scheduled for [old date and time] has [changed status]. [New date, time and venue, or when we’ll update you.] If you already booked, [what to do with your ticket]. For questions or refund instructions, visit [official update page] or contact [monitored contact].”
Update the places people already checked
Send the message through the booking provider, pin the update where you promoted the event and inform front-door staff. Test the official link on a phone. If you published separate calendar listings, update those as well so a guest does not travel based on an old page.
