How to publish an accessible event listing

Describe the route, seating and accommodations with facts attendees can use before booking.

Describe the trip from the street to the seat

Ask the venue which entrance is step-free, how to reach the room, which restrooms are accessible and whether seating or accessible viewing must be reserved. Find out whether captioning, interpretation or a quieter area is available. Use specific descriptions so people can decide whether the space meets their needs.

Copy this accessibility section

“Use [entrance and street address] for step-free access. The event is in [room or floor]. [Elevator, seating and restroom details.] [List confirmed accommodations and how to request them.] For access questions, contact [monitored email or phone] by [date, if applicable].”

Verify before you publish

Have someone at the venue check the wording against the event’s actual setup. If a feature is still being arranged, say so and provide a contact. Put the access information in ordinary page text so it can be read without opening a poster or a PDF.
