What to check before buying event tickets
Use this pre-purchase checklist to confirm the date, total price, entry rules and ticket delivery.

Check the event on the organizer’s page
- Match the venue’s street address, local date and performance time to your plans.
- Confirm which ticket tier you selected, what it covers and the final price per person.
- Read the entry rules for age, ID, seating, arrival and accessibility. Ask about anything that would prevent you from attending.
- Check the seller’s cancellation, reschedule and transfer terms and how the ticket will arrive.
Make one final comparison
Two pages can advertise the same artist and date while selling different sessions or sections. Open the organizer’s listing beside your checkout and compare the time and ticket type. If the venue shows a ticket partner, follow that link before trusting a similarly named page.
Save the details you’ll need later
Keep the receipt, booking reference and official venue link. Share the event address and arrival time with your group. Share tickets through the provider’s own transfer tools where available. That way a schedule change can be checked against the original booking rather than a forwarded screenshot.
